Railway Station Suceava (Burdujeni)

Built by the Romanian state in 1902, Railway Station Suceava
(Burdujeni) was an important representative of the Romanian border rail point, the former northern border with Austria-Hungary.
The building, built on a swampy, modeled station in Freiburg (Switzerland), required extensive drainage works, earthworks and providing a solid foundation in large oak beams.Railway Station Suceava (Burdujeni), executed in a fine architectural eclecticism reminiscent of French school at the time, was built of polished red brick, brick building facades treating all. Consisting of two buildings side two levels, the station is in the middle, in addition to the access hallways, a beautiful baroque hall, impressive size and architectural treatment modality, which originally served the reception hall and the customs office.
